My sales rep Hector Rivera was outstanding, I already knew what car I wanted and unfortunately they did not have it in stock, but Hector came to the rescued and reassured me that he will find the vehicle and get it for me. A few days after meeting with him, he calls me with the great news and he got me the 2024 Palisade that I wanted, what a great experience! Great communication, down to earth and extremely personable. I will be coming back again Hector! Thank you again for the great customer experience!

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at Island Hyundai, and I would strongly advise against going there for any service or car purchase. I have a national warranty through Toyota for my Hyundai that covers maintenance like oil changes and tire rotations. I bought into this warranty through Plaza Hyundai in Brooklyn and confirmed with Toyota that it should be accepted at any dealership. Despite this, Island Hyundai refused to honor it—twice. I made appointments, rearranged my schedule, and each time, I was turned down upon arrival with the excuse that my agreement was only valid at Plaza Hyundai, which is absolutely untrue, as Toyota corporate confirmed.

The staff at Island Hyundai’s service desk were not only wrong about the warranty but also incredibly rude and dismissive. One of the female service representatives even tried to tell me that “maintenance” didn’t include oil changes, which is a baffling claim—of course, oil changes are part of regular maintenance 🤦🏻‍♀️. I was forced to drive back to Brooklyn to get my service done, which was inconvenient and a complete waste of my time.

The attitude of Island Hyundai’s service department is unprofessional and, quite frankly, hostile. It’s clear that they lack basic knowledge and don’t care about customer service. I would never buy a car from them or recommend them to anyone. If you value respectful, knowledgeable service, avoid Island Hyundai at all costs.

Customer service is great. Everyone is nice but I walked out after they tried to add on $3500 fee to have the car certified pre-owned. Online it's advertised as already certified and when I told them I could do without the certification they would not allow it.

I'm a straight shooter and don't appreciate being hidden fees that should be included in the overall price. Also the vehicle has two damage reports on the car fax so I'm not sure how they're bypassing the no accidents on the certification.
